if a boy existed in the past ( year 2000) and lived a life to 2043 and had a son........(the son's name is andrew) andrews dad is smart and makes a time machine......andrew being curiose takes the machine and trtansports himself back to year 2000 and brings his father (still a boy) back to the future and the boy meetsd himself (the father of andrew) every action the father does or the boy does will the man remember tnings instantaniosly as they happen in the year 2043?

e.g the man (as he hears a knock on the door from the little boy) walks up to the door , opens it and sneezes, the little boy (the smart man in the past) seeing this remembers it , and it stays with the man his life....therfore remembering things as they accure........(ps the man will know exactly what time and date he "when he was young" will go into the past and expect himself to apear)!!!

is this possible?

  1. how did he make the time machine?

  2. time travel exsists and has been used

  3. I don't believe time travel will ever be possible, since any travelling to the past could change the future in such as way that the time machine would not be intented at all.

Also, it has been theorized that time is only linear in a limited sense. It's more like a river, with changes making small impact here and there. Travelling to the past would be like trying th grab the exact same handful of water over and over agian...just not possible.

  4. Albert Einstein already made a statement that in theory, time travel is possible.  Other than movies, I know of no one that has proven the theory.

  5. no

if you change one thing in the past, the future doesn't work

  6. Considering the possibility of a "multiverse" where time is not considered to be linear but existing in parallel then there is a possibility. In this scenario, the past does not affect the future, but this does not also mean that the future could affect the past since this would lead to the violation of causality.

If such time machine is made,

the boy from the future may visit one of the many possible past timespaces. Same as the boy from the past may visit one of the many possible futures timespaces. In this scenario, there should be no overlapping of timespaces, for if so, the multiverse will lead to chaos.

To your question: In general, partly yes and partly no.

  7. Who knows since time travel is not likely to happen in your or my life time, if ever.

However, it is an interesting idea for a science fiction story if that is what you want to know.
