  1. It is do-able and it has been done by many.

Walk into any motorcycle repair shop and ask what is required for your bike to pass inspection.

Most places don't care how loud your bike is, as long as the lights & horn work, tires & brakes are in good condition, no engine leaks, nothing is bent or broken, you'll be fine.

  2. So NOISE doesn't matter, do you people live in a cave? Riding areas are being shut down all over because of NOISE, some municipalities have inacted ordinances where you can't even ride on your own land. A KX450F is meant for closed course riding ONLY.

  3. Not in Oergon, anymore. some guys got a honda crf450 street legal and odot found out and cnx it all. if your bike was never lic. maybe. but if it was reg. as a dirt bike, no way

  4. Yes you can with all that you mentioned and you dont have to do any motor work you can just buy a spark arrestor pipe that keeps it under the decible limit of your state hope this helps!

  5. i think you might be able to legalize a dirtbike but im not sure.  it depends where you live.  ive seen a few quads in other countries be street legal by adding lights, blinkers, mirrors, like a Suzuki R450

  6. Yeah i suppose you could but it would be a h**l lot of touble, the road trail bikes already come all wired up plus the brackets n c**p for blinkers, taillights etc

It could cost quite a lot,

About the engine i dont think the noise really matters, police really only take notice to a noisy vehicle if its puffing out smoke/defected. You could get a better silencer but that mite reduce power
