Ok my husband REALLY wants to buy 2 jet skis. We found 2 1999 Sea Doo GSX RFI's they are in great condition with 114 hours on each. The cost is $7000. That includes:

1. both jet ski's

2. a double jet ski trailer in great condition

3. an almost new cover for each

4. 4 life jackets

It also includes it to be "Summerized" in May (getting it all ready for water after sitting all winter) Anyways, I dont know ANYTHING about jet skis so I was just wondering if this is a good price.

Thanks to anybody that can help!

  1. 2 nine year old jetskis.... hmmm...

The two person skis are valued at $2860 (2 seater) each, $3040 for the 3 seater each. RETAIL.

The trade-in is about $2000 each.

A used two place jetski trailer can go for anywhere between $500-1500 depending on the brand.

Covers: about $100 or more each

Life jackets: $15-20 each brand new depending on the brand.

"Summerizing"  what are they doing?  You should be able to lube, gas up and go...

On the high end to purchase all of these...$7800

    On the low end...  $4800

You say the trailer is nice, covers like new, and the hours are pretty low for the age...

Offer $6500 and I'd say you got a good deal. :)

Your other question... Is NADA reputable?  They were THE book to use when deciding the value of a vehicle.

Then, Kelley Blue Book was the first to come out online, and EVERYONE could view it, not just the car dealers who bought the NADA book (originally known as "blue book").  Both are considered reputable, but you won't always get the same prices out of both.  It's up to you to decide which one quote describes your vehicle best.
