One of Obama's ideas for change is not to eliminate our dependency on foreign oil but rather reduce our consumption of said oil. Is this not a lowering of our standard of living and should we not be encouraging an upward movement in living standards rather than downward?

  1. No.

  2. There will be no higher standard of living if Obama becomes president as we will all be living through the nightmare of his socialist programs and policies.

  3. Reducing oil consumption has many benefits, both economically and environmentally.  Alternative energy sources are the way to maintain our standard of living AND protect the environment.

  4. We should be doing more domestic drilling in the short term, and developing alternative fuels for the long term.
