Is this proof that the Yahoo Rafa fans are not very bright?

Rafa and Nole are two of my favorite players. But I can't help wondering how stupid are these yahoo Rafa fans are for hating Nole when it's Federer that's stood in Rafa's way all these years. If it wasn't for Federer he would've been #1 a long time ago. Duh! If it wasn't for Federer he probably would've won the French/Wimbledon back to back. Even Federer himself said that.

If Nole didn't come on the scene Rafa would've been at #2 until he starts to decline or Federer retires. If anything Nole's helped Rafa by beating Federer at the Australian Open and bringing Rafa closer than he's ever been to #1.

The Rome situation was all Rafa's fault. He could've and should've skipped Barcelona just for this Olympic year. He would've lost points but not as much as he stood to lose by not defending his Masters title in Rome. I don't know what he was thinking playing 3 tournaments in a row. Is it possible for Yahoo Rafa fans to be fair to Nole?

As a Rafa fan myself I used to hate Federer and later Djokovic. Then I realized it was all quite silly and ceased with the hating immediately! All three are good players in their own right, and most hate against any one of them is driven by the jealousy of fanatic fans. Such hating only hurts tennis. Hopefully more fans will realize this. I'm just grateful that we have three such excemplary players with contrasting styles to watch. All three create fine tennis that is a treat to watch for any true tennis fan.

I agree COMPLETELY with vonniedp.

I used to not like Nole coz he kept beating rafa at this one point of time, but that's juts stupid!

Federer never stood in Rafa's way of greatness for example, Rafa lost to players like davydenko,  Blake,Tsonga,and Ferrer at the Australian open or the US open. Roger only defeated Rafa at the last two Wimbledon finals as far as Grandslams are concerned. As far as the head to head record goes, Rafa has an advantage of 10-6, over Roger, if I am not mistaken. As for French Open, Rafa dominated Roger at the FO, which Rafa proudly deserves.  Rafa is the only player who has dominated Roger or kept him at bay. If you look at this year too, he lost to players like Andy Roddick at Dubai, Djoko at Pacific Wells, or to JCF at Rome. He beat Federer once again at Monte Carlo, which shows his dominance over Roger. All I am trying to say is Roger did not come in the way of Rafa's greatness after looking at the facts. But nonetheless, Roger and Rafa respect each other's greatness, which shows them as true champions.

tennis is best, you really really need to go to anger management or something because seriously, you're always hating on Federer and its really pathetic. I have a fav player, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna rubbish everyone else. I don't particulary like Djokovic, but hes a bloody amazing player and I'm never gonna deny it. Saying Fed lied about Mono is the stupidest thing ever (and to say his spleen would of ruptured is just bullshit... jesus christ) and I think its bull to say Rafa fans arn't very bright. They can't help it if they don't like Nole and like Fed, thats just ridiculous. Personally I think the reason they like Fed is because he has a respect for other players Nole doesn't, and thats the sole reason I don't like Nole. But seriously, everyone has to stop hating everyone else on this forum its getting really pathetic. Can't you people just appreciate good tennis?

uh tennis is best i dont hate on nole, i dont even know the guy!! hes not my fav player but i dont go round posting **** about how he makes up diseases and **** and i never say hes a bad player who doesnt deserve to be where he is!  so i think ur the one making stuff up now buddy :) i imagine mononucleosis can affect many glands, not just the spleen (and i believe only in serioous cases could it get that far into the endocrine system) and remember fed checked into hospital before the aussie open and pulled out of a tounry, so he did rest.

Sonja, sunnyde has it right. Besides it's not that Rafa fans dislike or hate Nole when they should hate Roger, it's just that they hate an obnoxious, disrespectul, complainer, that pulls out of matches for fictitious ailments, and has rude ignorant fans. That is my take on the situation as a Federer fan who appreciates Rafa's brilliance on clay. And if it wasn't for Rafa Fed would have won the French twice already along with a few more majors and might have even already retired so that someone undeserving like Novak could have stepped up for a short time before the more worthy players like Rafa, Wawrinka, Gasquet, Murray, Davydenko, and Tsonga might move up. Oh but for Nole to move up he would have to beat Rafa in points which he still hasn't. Oh well! #3 isn't that bad is it.

Tennis tool yes I consider Davydenko who leads Nole in head to head a better and more worthy opponent just like I consider Gasquet who is one match down to Nole in head to head. Gasquet lost 2 matches the same way...1st set in a breaker then the 2nds sets both times he stormed back hard 6-0 and 6-1 only to loose the 3rd sets. The time he did win he completely dominated Novak 6-4, 6-2 which tells me who the better player is in this close pairing.

As for Fed's medical analysis ... Oh I see that now you are a Dr.. Well hope you are better at that than at analyzing tennis. So what you are saying is that Federer may still not be over his mono yet.. you may be right since he is still not playing the way he is capable of. Because Fed is in such amazing cardio vascular conditioning he may not have injured himself as severely as the average person may have but still has done enough damage to impair his performance. As for Rafa he has never quit during a match and even now with a severely blistered foot he played to the end despite loosing.  Novak would have not even tried to play. Novak is like Serena Williams. She claims to be ill and pulls out forfeiting a match to her sister then goes on and wins the next tournament. My what a sudden miraculous recovery. NOT.  Down right BS. Well at least we have two worthy champions in Roger and Rafa. And now that Roger's protege and hitting partner Wawrinka is in the top 10 we can enjoy watching his rise as well. And Gasquet at 9 and Davydenko at 4. Yes the two that you declare as not worthy are both up there. Your Dolt status shines through brighter each time you post.

How do u know nole's ailment is fictitious? How do u know roger federer's mono was not a big fat lie? Infact I read on a site that moving around too much during mono can cause your spleen to rupture or something of tht sort. And, this guy's been playing tennis at the highest level. It included a 4-5 hr marathon against Tipsarevic at the oz open. Seems like fed's camp didn't think of these things when thinking up the mono excuse huh?

I can tell you to goto anger management classes for that too, can't I? Or do I need to go, because I'm the most vocal person around here who gives just replies to idiots who start up Nole hate theads? Incase you didn't read my reply correctly, I included just 2 players out of the 6 mentioned by terminator. I didn't include wawrinka, murray and tsonga because they r showing promise. I don't think they hate Nole bc he stood in Rafa's way. A lot of people hate Nole, he's just not as popular and likable as Federer and Rafa are, I'm a Federer fan and I prefer Rafa over Nole, although Rafa is a bigger threat for Federer.

Even Federer himself said that he'd prefer to leave his #1 crown to Rafa than leave it to Nole.

I've wondered the same the thing. You'd think if they are going to hate someone it would be the person above not the person below him. It just makes sense.

i think the hate in any direction is silly anyway. Djokovic's presence on the scene just makes the tour more interesting.
