  1. What has come to my mind is this.  Why do some Big Bang believers claim that it's impossible for God to have always existed because everything needs to have an origin but they now claim that matter and space have always existed?

  2. That is the problem. God needs a creator if we assume everything needs a creator

  3. If God is being made or created, will he be called God? Dha.. you get it?

  4. They claim god is infinite because the bible states god is the "beginning and the end".  If I recall correctly, infinite does not have a beginning and an end.

  5. Story tellers.

  6. Only things that are created need a creator.

God being created indicates the God is bound by time.

But God created time and is beyond time. Only things that are bound by time need a creator.

God created time, physics, and everything else.

  7. Yes, it comes to mind at least once a night when I inevitably read it on this board.

  8. God is all-powerful, he always existed, he didn't need to be created.

It's hard to grasp this concept; we're only human.

There's going to be questions like this no matter where you believe the universe came from.

  9. The sculpture.

  10. there is no god

  11. A  living  GOD  can't  be  made.I   have  wondered  about  GOD   and    his  abilities,but  never  if  he  was  created.So  no    I  have  never  had  that  question  in  mind.I   understand  however   that  others  have. Its   even  been   posted  here  in  R&S.     THANK  YOU  D'S

  12. Yes, it has crossed my mind many times.  It is impossible for the human mind to understand though.

  13. By your grammar I thought you were in kindergarten!

  14. No one made God.  God has existed forever and will exist forever.  God is "I AM"

  15. IS THIS, grade school di ya grad yet

  16. Humans made God. No humans, no God. Only Gullible humans can keep it alive though. If there were such a things as God, then there would be many of them. Evidence suggests, where there is one, there is more.

  17. no one made God, he created us all!

  18. A question like it, but not in those words [the construction is awful], has and it has been posed often by philosophers.

To answer the question "Who made the Earth and Universe about it? or "Who made me?" by "God" serves no useful purpose because it brings up the ancillary question "Who made God?"

You cannot solve a mystery with a mystery. That's a supreme axiom of logic and philosophy. You solve an unknown with a known.

Example.  X + Y = 23.  But you don't know what X or Y is so cannot solve. There are probably an infinity of answers that would solve the problem.

But if you know X=10 you can solve for Y.

    Y then equals 13.

God is the biggest unknown of all.

Christians and other theists say "You can't tell me that the Universe and the life in it which is so unimaginably complex just arose by chance?" and I can counter with "You can't tell me that God who is so unimaginably complex just arose by chance either!"

If they Say "God has always existed so needs no creator" to avoid God having to create himself which is a violation of the principle "Ex nihilo nihil fit." I can counter with "The larger system [Multiverse] of which our Universe is an infinitesimally small part has always existed and needs no creator."

God becomes a needless and useless hypothesis, so like the wise Laplace we the wise can say too ""[Sire,] je n'ai pas eu besoin de cette hypothèse." I have no use for that [the God] hypothesis!

The human invention of God as an explain-everything-unknown hypothesis was extremely inventive, creative and facile and unfortunately hindered human progress by delaying the search for real causes of rain, earthquakes, ourselves and the Universe beyond.

The same with the First Cause argument which has an internal contradiction, therefore is invalid.

    1. Everything has a cause.

    2. Taking causes back in time we get to a First Cause, which having no better term, we call "God".

    3. God has no cause.

Premise 3 contradicts premise 1.  If everything has to have a cause, so does God, who definitely falls into the set {everything}.

So God as an answer to what caused the Universe and all in it to exist serves no purpose because it immediately involves another higher question "What caused God?" and to answer that by some even greater God would involve infinite regress.

    ........---->Extra Super Duper God--->Super Duper God-->Super God--->God......--->Me.

  19. I have always wondered that, then i discovered that humans probably created all Gods(there are so many of them).

  20. God is not created, He is eternal.

    Read your Bible. =D

  21. Yes, thats the problem in claiming that everything complex must have a creator.

  22. He always has been.  Think of it this way...is there a start or end to a circle?  In the realm of timelessness a dimension where there is no time, He IS THE GREAT I AM.  He always has been, always will be.  The Alpha, Omega. When Jesus prayed to the Father in John 17 in the past, present and future tense.

Belief in something greater then yourself takes faith.  HE IS GOD, NOT HE WAS OR WILL BE.  How easy is it to believe in something so believable, and hard would it be?  Like playing a game of chess with someone who doesn't know the game...you know you're going to win.

Therefore our faith and belief in God requires faith in the things we can not see, but here's the deal...why not believe?  Your life will be so much more enriched, joyful, and full of blessings.

  23. Religion creates a bigger question than it falsley tries to answer!

  24. God is the alpha and omega.

  25. Jesus said there were things he wishes to tell us but the time isnt right whether hes speaking of the the clarification of the new testament prophecy revelation or of these matters, also GOD says he will teach us his ways after the old heaven and old earth have passed...  So what we do have is history of GOD and his creations, lets find out what it is he wnats us to do, fulfill it, then worry about who created who or who started where. Not bursting your bubble but how sad is it to ignore this call for eternal life because a few answers cannot be answered with out being attacked by societies standardized viewpoints? visit my group if you wish to learn more about the history and fulfillment of GOD's word and to learn the prophecies that are to fulfill before our very eyes.
