Is this really a happy 72nd birthday for John McCain when current US male life expectancy is 75.15 years?

Seems to me these figures don't add up to four years! Do you really want someone in office that is not expected to live to the end of his or her term?

  1. Well.. he's richer than the average American male, so hopefully he'll live a bit longer due to his afforability of advanced medical care.

  2. Very weak - the average life expectancy for someone 72 is 85+.

NOTE TO JESSLA - I hope you are joking.  McCain got all his money from his beer-heiress wife, just like Kerry got his from his ketchup-heiress wife.

  3. The average life expectancy may be 75 but consider this:

McCain's mother is still living and doing well while both of Obama's parents are deceased.  Life expectancy has a lot to do with genetic makeup.  The smart bet is that McCain will outlive Obama.

  4. His 44 year old, very capable, vice president will have no problem finishing his term, should the unspeakable happen to Senator McCain. Statistically Senator Obama has an equal chance of not finishing his term as Senator McCain.

Vote for whom you think will be the best leader for America and not for age alone. That is what the rest of us will be doing.

  5. Why don't you come up with another reason not to vote for McCain other than his age.  Oh yeah, and he has money bc he has worked his whole life for it.  Isn't that how it works in America?  Unlike the last Democratic nominee (Kerry) whose WIFE was the heinz ketchup heir.
