Is it a violation to suggest that if someone is worried about how many calories there are in some Ruby Tuesday dinner entree they probably can not afford to eat it?

  1. Unfortunately people don't want to hear the truth. Someone was insulted, either the person who posted the question or someone who answered it and was offended by your answer. Personally I think that only the person who posted the question should have the right to say weather the answer was offencive. Some people are just jerks.

  2. Yes.  Not only did you insult the asker, you didn't bother to answer the question he or she was asking.  If the question was about calorie count, the price is completely irrelevant.

In the future, you can avoid violations by answering the question asked, rather than just typing something at random.

  3. i think i remember that question. i liked your answer. but i you know the yahoo! answers police...god forbid you say something that offends someone..(siren sounding)

  4. Well, it was pretty rude and probably embarrassed the heck out of the person.

Personally, I have to check nutritional content because I work closely with a dietitian.  Doesn't RT still have a special section of the menu specifically for people with dietary concerns?  I know they used to and that could be why the person asked the question of you.

Also, Ruby Tuesdays is a business and telling anyone they shouldn't order food there should be a violation no matter how you said it.  Also, I'm not sure but there could be governmental regulations that require you to give nutritional information and your withholding of it could cost them a fine if they are cited.

    Hope this helps!

I took "afford to eat it" as in they shouldn't eat it because of obesity not cost when I answered.  Either way, my answer should be valid.

  5. Yes because you are insulting another member.  Not to mention that asking a calorie count of a dish has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether a person can afford to eat it.

  6. yes.

  7. yahoo has their priorities all wrong

and on top of the problem you are asking about, all the out-sourcing to foreign countries ends up hurting us Americans because they don't understand our culture, language, or sensibilities!  especially the people in India that have no clue about how to answer so many of the questions here!
