Yea okay, im already against global warming, and an environmentally friendly person.. but i didn't really know about this " Global Cooling "

Is this actually going to happen sometime?

I've heard about it.. and well lots of people are saying it'll come.

Although i'll probably be with Jesus, by the time this comes..

I just want to know if it's true.

yes quite probable but as you said everyone alive will be dead . but very unlikely to happen unless the the whole globalwarming scam  comes true it could make a neuclear winter making global cooling but never gonna happen in that order. unless a metorite strikes the panet creating an ice age. but its all a cycle of warm and cold weather on earth

Scientists studying the past have deduced that for the last million odd years our planet has had periodic ice ages every 20k years or so. Guess how long ago the last one was?

Wouldn't it be ironic and so undeserved if our using up of non-renewable resources caused global warming just in time to combat the next ice age?

And I agree. Even if there is a Global Cooling I'll be with Jesus. I think. Maybe. Idk. Lets just see what happens.

Everybody says they're gonna be with Jesus - as if Jesus didn't have any say in the matter.

For all you know, Jesus could think you're FOS.

Maybe he's busy.

Maybe he's got pressing engagements.

It's not like you called him up and booked an appointment.

The next ice age is bound to happen some time in the distant future.  I doubt it's anything anyone has to worry about.

I actually watched a program about "Snowball Earth"...it does seem very possible that it happened and can happen again.

On a geologic time scale --- an ice age is due just about any time now!

Well...thousands of yrs ago there was an ice age, that killed animals like the Mammoth etc...So I guess global cooling is possible Certainly...One things certain, nature is powerful & unpredictable.

Major climate swings seem to be haphazard occurences. The earth has warmed and cooled many times.  We had a bit of warming up to 1998, then that stopped.  Who can say where nature will take us from here?  Cooling again perhaps, but nobody can say with any certainty.

Yes! It will eventually happen. For a great projection of time period watch Al Gores Inconvenient Truth. It is a movie based on facts and it was able to show my husband that climate change is happening whether we like it or not.

Its all just educated guessing. NOTHING is set in stone. Its just some guys who are supposed to be smart giving an opinion. Heck, they cant even guess THE WEATHER right most of the time! You think they can actually predict this stuff?

The only thing that could change the earth's climate, like the last Ice Age is an object from Outer Space.  Like the last time.  It would be a giant catastrophe.  Space rocks, meteors, planets, are occurring all the time.  The Frozen Mammoths are mute testimony to a near miss by a planet sized object.  They went from grassland creatures to frozen solid for 10,000 years.  From a temperate climate where grasses grow year round, daisies, to a year round frozen north pole.  There must have been a smaller planet than ours, ?Mars?  that gave up its water to us.  At the same time heaved up the two great mountain chains in the space of minutes.  First pass the Andes, Rockies.  The second pass Pyrenees, Alps, Himalaya's.  The first pass it lost its water to us. Outer space temp is Absolute Zero.  Froze the Mammoths, The second pass set up the new spin of the Earth.  It is parallel to the equator.  Both Mt chains are in the form of a GREAT CIRCLE on the Earths surface.  

There is NO OTHER explanation for what we can see with our own eyes.  And, there are caves in France that show HUNTERS THROWING SPEARS AT MAMMOTHS.  

BTW, re: GW,  the Arctic ice melt seems to coincide best with an undersea volcanic eruption seen by the NOAA in 1999.  Huge lava extrusions, a mile wide, bigger than Mt. Helens, and dozens of miles long from a rift going from Greenland to Siberia.  Why has this never been mentioned prior to now?  The lava is subsiding and the ice is reforming.    Of course, hot water both rises AND drives CO2 out.
