I think the person who branded the picture as being racist is the one with clearly identifiable racist sensitivities. I do not think for one minute that Mr Kasab intended to associate the appearance of a monkey with that of a black man. That association has been made by his accusors.

Since when did Monkeys become a race? It's like the Lebron James magazine cover that they said was racist because it depicted "Black man wants white woman, just like King Kong" King Kong is not a black man! And the wise monkeys are not black men! The origin of the monkeys are from 17th century Japan!

The only thing I can think is that maybe that particular monkey in that cartoon looked very much like that certain committee member.

Shame on them for singling it out as only a jab at the black guy.That makes them the racists.Are they implying that only black people can be portayed as monkeys in a cartoon.The see no evil etc. quote is a well known one and is always portrayed with chimps doing the actions.They're just trying to blacken the characters of the opponent.I'd probably get shot for saying that too!
