I have 2 kicker cvr dual 2ohm voice coil subs and I am thinking about gettin 2 bazooka EL 500.1 amps, the amps say to be 375rms@ 4ohms and 500rms @ 2 ohms and total 750watts. So do u think these amps would be good for my subs?

  1. Well if your subs are rated to handle around 500 RMS with a peak around 1000 then those amps are fine. If your dual voice coil (DVC) subs are wired to be 1 ohm then make sure the amps are rated to handle 1 ohm.

That amp should be fine tho.

    hope this helps.

  2. I would suggest checking into a quality amplifier that does about 500 watts of power or so at 1 ohm mono.  Something in the range of an Orion 600D as a starting point.

  3. Teamssaudio is right

you can also get a 1000 watt RMS mono amp that is 2 ohm stable and run your subs from that like the Kicker ZX1000.1 or this Sony amp that is cheap http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7013...

  4. you know what, you need two mono 1ohm or two 2ch amps for each sub or a 2ohm mono amp for both

find a one best to match rms ratings

  5. bazooka amps will not work the way you would want. the company do not make high quality material you ill need a stronger amp to make these run properly i have these subs running in my car now. 3 cvr's to a  1600 watt hifonics amp and it sounds really nice you would want to get a amp that is running 800rms and ruffly 1200-1400 watts peak. i have a site you should look at.
