Is this rude in your oppinion?

my mom wants to have a baby shower for me except she lives 8 hours away and I wont be back in ohio until AFTER the baby is born is it wrong to have a baby shower after the baby is born. everyone wants to see the baby so my mom thought a baby shower would be a good idea to bring everyone together? how do you feel about it?

  1. I think your the mother and it's up to you and if you don't want to you shouldn't have to and tell your mom that you love her and respect her opinion but you would rather do....(your plan)

  4. I had a baby shower after the baby was born and everyone was happy because they were able to see the baby. Most of the relatives lived far so they wouldnt have been able to see the baby anyways. Dont worry, go for it.

I don't think it's rude.  It's nice that she wants to throw you a shower and get everyone together for you, even if it is a little after the fact.  Although I would suggest having your husband or somebody just bring the baby for a short while (assuming you would take the baby) because that would be a very long day for him/her and it's not good for them to be around so many people at such a very early age.
