  1. hmm...well the cardboard would be alright if they only ate some of it and just left little shavings behind...if they smallowed the cello tape..like you can't find any remains of it around..then you've got a problem...it may just go out their other end...but you never know... it can clog up their digestive system...

  2. It's safe for your guinea pig to chew on the cardboard, but it's most definitely not safe for them to swallow any types of tape. I would recommend for their next toy, just to put toilet paper rolls, and don't try and make anything fancy by using tape.

It's also fun to see guinea pigs going into an empty cereal box!

    Good luck.

  3. Cardboard is perfectly fine for them to chew on as long as there's nothing printed on it (ie. ink). The tape I would be a little worried about. If they swallowed it, well, I guess it's too late to do anything about it. It might clog up their digestive system though, which is bad. If you don't notice any poops for a while, then take them to the vet.

If you find the tape lying around the cage, immediately remove it so they can't eat any more of it.

The tubes were perfectly fine, just don't give them the tape next time.

    Good luck.

  4. I don't know what cellotape is, but it's perfectly normal for them to chew so much on cardboard:)

  5. Yeah, dont worry. Thats totally fine.

  6. it should be okay. if you find the tape in their nest take it out, and if their behavious changes take them to the vet, but dont worry about it.

  7. I have domestic rats and I give them an empty toilet paper roll once in a while. They love to chew it and it helps keep their teeth from growing out of there mouths. I don't think you should worry. Next time, just throw the roll in there and don't cut it, they will do that for you.
