Is this safe to take for me?

ok so i had went 2 the doctor and i told her about my sleeping problems and she suggested melatonin and it says not 2 take it if you are under 16 and im 14. s0 is it still safe to use? i would think so if the doctor suggested it.but i just want to make sure

  1. Yes, it is fine as i know a boy that took it for years and he was fine.  It takes about l hour before you fall to sleep after you take it.  The doctor would not tell you take something if it was not safe.


  2. I don't know if it will be safe for you but you can try Valerin. I don't know if i spelt it write but it helps to relax you and to sleep.

  3. I wouldn't take it and I'm an expert at alternative medicine. I even sold meatonin and am afraid of it. Melatonin is a hormone and hormones have access to all parts of your cells. This can be dangerous in years to come,but nobody is sure.

    Eating turkey I've seen as a cure for many sleep disorders,but you must decide for yourself.

    Many have heard about the l-tryptophan in turkey,but few know why it works. It can cross the blood brain barrier and stimulate your pituitary gland. It also helps you get that deep REM sleep where you dream a lot.

    I wouldn't take melatonin.

    Now you are a normal person with a sleeping problem. Do you really at age 16 want to start depending on drugs and hormones that mess up your system and cause other problems that you will have to take other drugs to correct? It's like having a wobbly chair and you try to cut other legs shorter to balance it and after a while the legs are all missing.

    B-Complex is used to support nerves and stress and 500MGs of Esther C with bioflavanoids{Vitamin P} are known as the best and C is known as the stress vitamin.

    Also many people that have sleeping problems are never completely awake or a sleep. So if you are healthy enough to do so I would ,and it's your choice,get a work out that tires you out to a safe extent. This helps some to have their bodies yearn for sleep.

    When some have combined exercise,proper nutrition,turkey and growing positive emotions to replace emotional unhappiness it has helped most everyone from the thousands of people i served at health food stores.     To carol p: You are wrong because doctors give out many things that are not safe. Have you heard of antibiotic resistent Staph infections called MRSA that has killed many? It happened because doctors give out antibiotics too much for non-life threatening infections!

    Since 1982 there has been hundreds of thousands of deaths due to doctor prescribed medications! FYI I'm not against doctors except when they make mistakes and there are a lot of them. They do good too,but you have to protect yourself!
