Is this screen Compatible?

Question

I have a Toshiba A200 laptop and i got a replacement screen for it which i was told it would be compatible.

However when i put the new screen in the display is blank - it lights up but just grey.

Do you think the screen is not compatible or is the screen broke??

you would need to somehow instll a new driver........   hmmmm.  

try hooking it up to an external monitor

and se if it works if not try

There is no way to know from you're description.  What it comes down to is if you believe the person who told you that it is compatible.
