  1. I think it's true, to an extent. You do only get one chance a good first impression but even if you give a bad first inpression you can often redeem it. So if you give a bad first impression, you can make good secound, theird, fourth and so on. People almost always give you more then one chance so the sentence isn't all true.

  2. Yes it's true.  A FIRST impression is the first look.  It's in the past.  You can't go back.

  3. Logically it is true but I personally don't think that first impression is as important as many people claim to be.

  4. of course its true...it speaks for it self.

no matter how much you try to make a second impression its the first that lasts.

old words of wisdom..very true sweety,

  5. for sure.......first impressions are long lasting.  What ever it was that someone remembered about the first impression will always stick in someones mind the next time they see you......so make a good 1st impression

  6. In most cases and as the general thoughts are yes!, but in reality it is not. The saying like you quoted or " FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE LAST", is not at all applicable each and every time. Many times it differ what you conceive at the first place about a person. Huge numbers of personal experiences reflects that one  get a VERY WRONG idea about him/her first appearance, attitude etc.

    SO, it is not true.

  7. Sure it is, first impressions are precious, it's gone before your eyes and can never be resurrected.

  8. Its true but it doesn't stop you from impressing the same person later. All of us wants to know or work with a good person so impressions last for sometime but work/attitude last longer and deeper.

  9. i think its true, but the connotation isnt. the first impression is important but a genuinely good person can eventually overcome a bad first impression

  10. Not for a first impression, to technically true, but with work you can change what people think  of you. My supervisor used to think I was very unfriendly, and didn't like me much (I heard her talking about me to other coworkers about it!) but after a few months of hard work we get along very well.

But a good first impression would have saved me a few months of terror and workaholism.
