Is this september 1 a holiday??

i was wondering if this september 1is a holiday in chicago because i wanna go shopping that day but im not sure if the malls are going to be open

and because the first day of school is september 2 so i really need to go shopping!

  1. It is a holiday but I doubt the Mall will be closed. I would try it if you want. They may not open till late or may close early but I bet they will be open..


  2. Yes...Monday september 1st is Labor Day...Everywhere will be closed. Sorry. Why not go during the weekend?!

  3. Since when do malls close for Labor Day?  Where I come from they're not only open but they have huge sales.  Banks and post offices will probably be closed though.

    Edit:

    Atrium Mall will be closed

    Water Tower Place open 10am-6pm

    Golf Mill Shopping Center open 10am-7pm

    Okay, Chicago is weird to me.
