I think she has got a compelling story, but I assume that she wants to be treated the same way that guys want to be treated, which means their records are under scrutiny. I have been through this for 19 months. She has been through it, what, four days so far.

  1. Have you got a name to go with this question or can we just guess?

  2. You really need to look up the definition of sexism - that way you won't be jumping at shadows. Information is key......sorta like s*x ed.

Edit: I think it is a joke to call dems condescending! Did you not hear Palin's speech?!

  3. Not overtly sexist in my opinion, but definately condescending. What would you expect from the Obama/Biden/P-diddy camp though anyway?

    McCain/Palin '08

    Country First

  4. scrutinizing her record is fine.  Doing it in a way that is condescending is not, as in questioning whether she can take care of her family and be VP, they don't ask men that.   Going after her kids in an effort to criticize her is also completely uncalled for.   Democrats crossed the line, now they are paying for it and Obama is whining about it.

  5. No, it was truthful. If women want true equality, then they need to be scrutinized for all sorts of things, equal to at least any male candidate. If anything, the Republicans sayings she's getting scrutinized too much are sexist in themselves, by holding her in a special place, just because she's a woman.

And when Obama made the statement, it was just 4 days after McCain's VP pick.

Poor attempt at connecting sexism there.

  6. No, what he said is the truth.  When Hillary was running for President- the right wings kept saying she needed to take it like a man and stop "hiding behind her apron strings" (said by d**k Morris)

I don't think Palin is complaining too much about being scrutinized- I think she was well aware of it.   She doesn't need to be coddled.  And if you think she is experienced enough to be the VP of our country, then you shouldn't worry about her.   And if she can't even handle our media- how is she going to handle attacks from terrorists.
