Is this shampoo safe for rabbits?

Question

I got this stuff, it was actually for my dog, and the vet prescribed it for us, [its just a simple basic shampoo].

But, on the back, it says 'For animal use only] and it doesn't say which animal, so I'm thinking its for ALL animals, because, it didn't say in particular..

Should I use it?

rabbits don't usually need to be washed.  They spend a lot of time cleaning them selves.  I had a rabbit and we never washed it... it never stank and its fur was always in great shape.

You shouldn't need to use it on your bunny. Rabbits clean themselves.

If you still want to wash your bunny its better to use a shampoo designed for rabbits, you don't want to kill it.

rabbits clean themselves if u feel the need to clean ur rabbit ther is a special mixture u place on the dirty spot and simply comb it out

You shouldn't need to bathe a rabbit. They are self cleaning. Baths can stress them out too much.

you really shouldn't bathe your rabbit.let alone buy a shampoo for your rabbit.

rabbits bathe themselves everyday and this is their so called "bathe" for themselves.rabbit fur takes time to actually dry so they catch cold very easily.

as for the shampoo,do not use the product on any animal besides dog and cats.my friend once encountered such shampoo and he used it on his ferrets.the ferret got a skin problem and almost died...

DO NOT use products you are not sure of on animals.

please do the right thing and do not bathe your rabbit.i once tried to bathe my rabbit(i was tempted to do so...) and my rabbit caught a cold.i had to take it to the vet for a week because the cold won't go away...

no, don't use it, u should use 'small animal use' u can buy a simple shampoo for them really cheap, don't use it

you can use it but if you are afraid too call the vet and ask first or just use baby shampoo that shampoo can be used on anbody or any animal

I wouldn't use it. Dog hair and rabbit hair is very different. Rabbit hair is much softer and thus more fragile so the shampoo may be too strong for the rabbit. Ask the vet or go to a pet store and ask for rabbit shampoo.

You could also use baby shampoo (human baby) because it is very gentle and wont burn its eyes.
