it could be a possible beginning stages of hoarding. Hoarding is a major disorder. Hoarding is normally when a person being collecting items (or creatures) in this case dogs. Now hoarders will collect and god awful amount to make theirselves feel more secure...some even keep the animal after they have died because they cant let go.

Its a habit, that can get out of control, I'm a hoarder love to keep old stuff just encase someday i will need it
