  1. some ppl are just like that. Just smile at her when she does that and that'll make her wonder about herself.

  2. That seems in no way racist to me. Where did you get racist from; especially since this never happened before; why would she try to start now? Maybe you said it in a way the she might have found ignorant. I wouldn't' get lunch from there any more. Would if you did offend her in some way; she could be sneezing in your food, coughing......  HEY,IT COULD HAPPEN.

(By the way Terri M., that was too funny! I just had to give you a thumbs up)!

  3. yea go tell the principal

  4. No, it doesn't compare to racism in any way. Someone's irritation with and ignorance of your diet won't affect your employment, housing or educational opportunities in any way. It's no threat to your well being or your life.

This is a minor irritation in your life, and comparing it to racism is silly. I have no idea of your ethnic origin, but you clearly haven't actually experienced racism.

  5. Just ignore it because maybe she's not as open to new ideas as other people are.

  6. If you 'don't want no meat' in your lunch then you must want meat in your lunch.

  7. love your enemies, it pisses them off. :)

  8. Tell your school principle.  There is no reason for her to act like that.  It is uncalled for and very unprofessional.  You have a right to eat what you want to eat and no woman in a hairnet should give you an attitude about it.

  9. I suspect that this is an issue to explore with your parents and your principal.  Inappropriate behavior on the part of food service employees in a public school is not acceptable. And the behavior you have described is not professional nor is it appropriate.

  10. No, it's not racism.  Vegetarian is not a race.

  11. nope you might have insulted her when you said it though

  12. No its not racism but it is very rude, bad manners and unacceptable.  You should have a word with your teacher about it, if they are not sympathetic then go to your headmaster/principal.

  13. First of all, it's not racism. It would be called discrimination. Or just sheer irritation with the disrespectful attitude of kids today.

You apparently didn't approach her in a very polite manner. Stating "I don't want no meat in my lunch" is not only very poor grammer, but also rude. If you are a vegetarian, just say " I don't eat meat, thanks" when you are about to be served meat. Say it politely!! Good manners are very important.

All schools do offer vegetarian meals, it is required. Yes, it may just be a salad bar, but at least it's there. The school in my area is working on offering veggie students better meal choices than just a salad bar. Yay!

  14. She thinks you are casting judgment on her, she's just being immature.

  15. Report her to your principle. Someone working at your school shouldn't make any kid feel uncomfortable or different to the rest.

  16. It's not racism..she is not treating you like that due to race.  Some people can't accept others being different.  It's called ignorance.

  17. I'm just taking a wild guess here, but maybe she thinks you're just saying that you are a vegetarian because you don't want to eat HER meat and she might be offended by it.  If you said it like, "I don't want no meat in my lunch anymore," or something like that, that might explain it.  (Hey, it's possible!)

Also, if she didn't do it before, it probably isn't racism.
