Okay, I started my period on the morning of the 11th and I still have a good amt of blood coming out with some cramping. It did stop for most of the day one day, but in the evening I got a cramp and I had blood the size of a quarter. It was weird cause it stopped for almost a whole day, but then it changed its mind. It hasn't stopped since. Please help, and no snooty, rude comments please! Keep them to yourself.

  1. this is compleely normal. nothing to worry about. if it keeps going on for 2-3 more days its something to worry about. its a type of desise, but its like a 1 in a million chance. dont stress it

  2. maybe u should find something to clog it up.

  3. I would see a doctor! I am a nurse practitioner and I see a lot of women with that and it could be many things.... Stress, cancer, tumor, miscarriage and edemetrosis! I would just get checked out to be safe! Good luck

  4. Sometimes young girls have difficult period from first menstruation up to fully developed regular menstrual cycles. It will take some time to fully develop your mature regular menstrual cycle. Please be also informed that in general menstrual cycles are very sensitive to stress, emotional situations, infections, medication, etc.

Just be patient. Usually by 18-20 year the menstrual cycle will be fully development, your hormones will develop your own (personal) cycle and your menstrual cycle will be regular.

  5. You should call your GYN about this. I have had cycles in the past (I'm 22) that lasted 30days (that's 30days of bleeding not just a 30cycle). You might be allergic to your BC, or you might have some levels that are off (progesterone or estrogen). They can do some simple blood work to find out.

  6. Wow....wow.

  7. From what I know, it could depend on your age and what your routines are. Some women are "heavy" and you can usually talk to your doctor about it, he could suggest something. It is normal, although inconvenient. I used to have this same issue until I saw my doctor and got on birth control.

  8. Is this your first period? This is pretty normal, the blood your talking about is probably just a clot - it happens and is nothing to worry about.  As for the cramping, everyone's period is different, some get really bad cramps whilst others don't feel a thing.

If you mean you have been having this period for more than a week now, I think you should go and see a doctor as it really shouldn't last that long.  I don't want to say miscarriage, but if you have had unprotected s*x then it sounds like you may have suffered one.

Go and see a doctor to be sure though.

  9. That happens sometimes. As long as it's not super heavy that entire length of time, it's ok. I wouldn't see a dr unless this keeps going another two weeks.

  10. Wait a few days to see if it thins out if it does not change or gets worse I would go see a doctor.

  11. this happened to my mom

    but for 8 months

and she got a histerectomie, or whatever it's called

and then they did a biopsy on her uteris and nothing was wrong

  12. Irregularity when it comes to that can be caused by many factors. If you are just starting birth control, or are changing to a different prescription when you've been using something else for a while can cause what your are describing. Also, quitting using birth control can cause irregularity as well. If none of this is applicable and you have been regular your whole life with little deviation, then perhaps you need to see a gynecologist. I would say wait a day or two and if you're still having problems then I would suggest making a doctor's appointment. As a general rule of thumb, that applies not just to this situation. If you're concerned about a health problem enough to ask someone a question about it, then I would suggest that person you're asking be a licensed physician. Just a thought.

  13. its totally normal, mine does that every so often,  Im 29 and have been dealing with it since I was 12 .... holy cow I just realized how long that is !!! OH MY !

  14. Thats how my period is.

i have it for 3 days then it stops for a day, then it comes back and it last about a week.

  15. Periods can last for 2 weeks, and can stop for a day and flow like crazy the next. It's a part of the growing process and your body is probably going to pull these tricks on you for a few years until it figures out the proper "period routine" it wants to follow. When I first started mine, they were 2 weeks long and sooo heavy. Now, 10 yrs later, they are only 4 days long and about average flow. I bet next month you'll have a totally different period. Sucks, eh? :)

  16. calm down

  17. Need to know two things:

Are you on the pill?  If so for how long?

    Any chance you are pregnant?

  18. No that is common

  19. no, it happens to me sometimes, its nothing to worry about, unless it keeps happening all the time.

  20. yes i think you shuld c a dr cuz u probably have an infection or summn so i wuld c a dr rit away!

  21. no it is normal

  22. thats like my freind!

she was scared too. but its fine.

  23. Large clots could signify a miscarriage, you should probably go to the doctor to make sure that you didn't miscarry, and that it doesn't signify a bigger problem.
