Last year, my older sister dressed my younger brother (11 years old) as cheerleader for halloween. I have to admit he looked pretty cute and like a real girl. He wore a wig, a short skirt, even a bra and panties.

Now he's mentioning about how he can't wait to dress up as a girl for halloween again this year. Plus i caught him sitting on the toilet when he pees. Is this femininity just a phase, or something more?

  1. Don't obsess.  He is fine.  I think it is funny that you would think a guy sitting to urinate is wrong.  My hubby sits often, usually when there is company in the house so that he is "quieter".  And how do you know that he was only peeing?   Let it go, find something else to worry about.

  2. ARE YOU TRYING TO TURN YOUR BROTHER INTO A HOMO? KEEP YOUR SISTER AWAY FROM HIM AND EVEN THOUGH ITS CUTE NOW  IT WON'T BE IN 10 YRS WHEN HE TELLS YOU HE HAS A BOYFRIEND.

  3. I wouldn't allow the cross-dressing thing personally.  Not because I worry about the end result, but because I don't believe it's appropriate regardless.

But, I wouldn't worry about the sitting down to pee.  My husband does that except in public restrooms.  It's a politeness to the person who will clean the toilet.  More sanitary.  Etc.  My almost-7-year-old as a result also pees sitting down.

  4. I really don't think there's anything to worry about. And my son, who will be 16, STILL sits to pee, LOL! It's not a big deal. :)

  5. He is fine. Maybe he was craping when you caught him 0.0

  6. 11 is a little young to start displaying masculine qualities. I know for girls it's much quicker, but guys get a delayed onset.

If your son was 13, I'd be concerned, but as it is, just make sure he's got strong male role models around him and he'll be fine.

    Good Luck!

  7. I wouldnt be to concerned about it!  He is sounding like a very normal 11 year old.  My nephew (Who is 12) also makes comments like this, but then again, he got so much praise for also dressing like a girl and doing it so well that I think alot of it is just the get the attention agian.

Not to mention, I am sure there are many boys that wonder what it is like to be a girl and it is often times just plain curiosity and it doesnt ever go beyond that.  And, visa versa with girls wondering how it is to be a boy....

Try not  to worry, I think he is more than likley than not ... normal.
