I got my first tattoo a couple months ago, In the tattoo there are yellow red and purple dots, the red and purple ones are flat, the yellow ones are raised still. Is this an alergic reaction or something? This isn't the only yellow in my tattoo so i don't know what the problem is, has anyone ever had a tattoo stay raised? Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

  1. It could be a reaction to the ink or its scarred. I have a tattoo on my wrist and its scarred, I have been using a scar cream to help fade and soften it but it will take months to see a difference.

  2. just rub lotion on it as often as you can.

thats all you really need to do.

  3. it happens sometimes, some areas can be more raised than others if the artist went slightly deeper into the skin on certain parts. My first one has a few areas that are very very slightly raised compared to the other parts. as long as that's all that is wrong and there isn't anything else i'd say it's normal. Maybe shoddier work, but normal.

  4. the reason why is not because the tattoo artist went too deep its because before it was completely healed either you peeled the scab there are by taking a bath you rubbed the scab off before it was ready.

  5. i kind of have a question for you and a sort of... blah thing for an answer. but i hope it helps.

okay so, when my friend got his tattoo it was raised.

    well.

it's not suppose to be raised.

it COULD be an allergic reaction but im thinking that if the rest of the yellow in your tattoo isn't raised like that, why would it happen in that one certain part?

    I mean really.

    SOOOOO.

my question to you is.. when he was filling in the yellow, did it hurt worse then the red and purple?

because sometimes tattoo artists (though they aren't suppose to) lean in on the needles, so it goes deeper into the skin, causeing it to flame up and swell.

well it he does that, he's basically filling you up with the dye or colored whatever, so.. if its not from an allergic reaction

it might be like my friend's tat

    and stay raised.

it just means you went to a really bad tattoo artist.
