Is this spec good enough to play games such as Crysis, Call of Duty 4 and FarCry 2?

Processor: Phenom 9950 or Intel quad core processor

3GB of DDR2 RAM

500GB Hard Disk

Graphics Card: 8800gt with 512 mb RAM

Dual Layer RW DVD

If not can u tell me wat needs to be upgraded coz I haven't bought it yet.

Oh and should I choose XP Home ar Vista?

Yea, those are good specs, Vista should be fine, I havent ran into any problems with Vista, everything is being made for Vista these days, and the service packs for vista are doing away with bugs, etc.... Should go forward with windows, not backwards, IMO. XP is great, but Vista is also great, and will only get better. Gaming, I would recommend Battlefield 2142 for online play. I have several games that work fine with Vista, Frontlines, Crysis, Battlefield 2142, and a few others.

That should be alright. I choose xp still although vista would run perfect for that specs but still they're still bugs with it.

Dont get intel motherboards. For gaming pc like your getting its prone to overheating compared to others. Asus perhaps.
