It's Australian and used. I can't see a year. Image: Kangaroo with tree and hill in background. All done in orange lines. Writing: (at top) POSTAGE, (left hand side bottom) 1/2 D., (bottom) AUSTRALIA

  1. I'm sure it's only vauable to you, but hey, that's not such a bad thing.  Enjoy it and add it to your collection.

  2. It maybe vauable or it may not be.

  3. I think you have what American collectors would call Australia Scott number 166, 166a, or 223A.  The difference lies in the perforations and to make an exact identification you'd need a collector's tool called a perforation gauge.  It probably doesn't matter a lot to you though, since the catalog values for all these range from 20 cents to 60 cents for a used example, and it's unlikely anyone would offer you as much as catalog value for yours. You can check to make sure we're talking about the same thing by looking at a picture of four unused examples of 166 at:

  4. dunno

  5. nope worthless because it is used

  6. At estimate, this would not be worth anything over .30, being it used, and a definitive stamp.
