  1. Hardware drivers interact directly with the hardware itself, with no layers between. Because the hardware you describe in the post is proprietary, so is the code that makes up the drivers.


  2. I have read both posts.  

    Except for the philosophical issue, what is the point of your question?  Either side is debatable, neither side can win.
