52wk Range: 42.09 - 59.95

It's this stock;

(NYSE: WMT)

Does it say that on the listing you look at also?

Is this a lot, do stocks usually change more than this?

  1. It does not look like a lot, but if you actually had invested at the low point and sold at the highest point,you would have made almost eighteen dollars per share.That would amount to a 42 percent gain, which is FANTASTIC . Money in the bank is only making maybe 4.5 percent !!

    Buying at the absolute low point and selling at the highest is a rare,rare occurence for sure.

    Oh ! Also many stocks change much, much more than that type of percentage, sometimes in weeks ... but the change can also be negative, too.

  2. Walmart is a stock that doesn't change a lot over time.  It is not as volatile as other stocks out there, it's a pretty steady stock in a fairly stable sector.  If it was a pharmaceutical company this would not be a big spread because those companies can have major swings depending on drug approval or disapproval and other factors
