  1. Your white blood cell count is high and you are having fever. Definitely it is an infection. Now you are under the care of a doctor. He is treating you just the way we would like to treat you.

From your history I cannot say how many days you are suffering from the illness. It looks a short term illness.

Some illnesses take their own course even with treatment.

Many symptoms you have are generally found when you have an infection

Your doctor will be the best to judge what the course of your illness will be.

Your symptoms do not suggest an ear infection. You would have suspected so due to the dizziness.

    I am a medical doctor.

  2. I don't think you have an ear infection. It doesn't make sense if it is an ear infection. All I can remember from when I had ear infections is that the ear is very itchy, but itchy on the inside. Hearing is blocked, and there are fluids that somehow find their way out of the body from the ear.

I hope your test results show that you are healthy!
