Is this summer a bummer if you own a Hummer?

gas prices above $4, how can Hummer Owners afford to drive?

If they can afford a Hummer... they better be able afford the gas!

With th US gas prices it should not be.

They are still rather cheap.

As always, some have deep pockets and have no problem affording the price of a fill-up.  For others, this is a expensive time to be stuck with a guzzler such as a Hummer.  

Hummer is not the only gas guzzler out their today.  

For example:

A Dodge Durango with V-8 and 4WD is rated 13 city/18 highway.

My boss owns a Dodge Ram 4WD with the Hemi V-8.  His truck is rated 13/17.  He parked his truck and bought a used Chevy Malibu that cut his gas costs in half.  

BTW the Hummer H2 is rated at 13 city/16 highway.

I am amazed that people thought nothing of buying these vehicles even when gas was around $3 a gallon.  It has taken a price point of $4 a gallon to make people think rationally about the vehicle they drive.   See article below.
