Is this terrible service or what?

My elderly relative used to get milk and groceries delivered to his door. He has trouble leaving the house so relied on this. He went into hospital and cancelled the delivery at the same time the company was taken over.

On his return he asked me to re-order the delivery. I placed an internet order which was confirmed... but no delivery was made on the day, and a week went by with no deliveries until I phoned them and they said they'd sort it.

Then they said they could only deliver three times a week, not every day.

A week goes by...still no deliveries.

I ring again and they say they will talk to the delivery man and find out what's going on. They say they will ring me back today to let me know what's going on.

No phonecall... I ring up and the national call centre says the relevant depot has now closed for the day.

Do they not care for their customers or are they just inept? What is so difficult about delivering milk?

  1. sounds like they don't want your business. do a search on the net for another company, and then write then a letter (to the M.D) telling them why you are changing comapny's. good luck

  2. Sign of the time's I am afraid. Still it could be worse - thank goodness British Gas don't do milk. It would be £5 per pint take it or leave it.
