This looks like its the real deal and I've been waiting forever for the season 4 promo considering I love supernatural. I'm not sure if its fan-made or official but it looks really different for a supernatural promo. Maybe they are focusing on the whole "end of the world" idea.

  1. Hi, yep, that's the official trailer for season 4 as aired on the CW.  I've been looking for the official trailer for about a month now and I just found it this weekend - it's on the CW website as well.

I'm just disappointed that there's no new footage from season 4 but I guess we'll just have to wait until 18 September - I'm literally counting the days!! ; )

Apparently the whole 'demon war' thing will be more 'underground' so we won't see any huge apocalyptic battles because the budget for season 4 is much smaller than previous seasons but the war is still going to be 'out there' just sort of lurking : )  Eric Kripke said he's going to concentrate more on the relationship between Sam and Dean.

I have some spoilers for season 4 if you're interested?

Okay, if you don't want to know what happens in the first few episodes then stop reading now : )

    SPOILER ALERT****

In the season premiere 'Lazarus Rising', Dean wakes up in his grave four months after his death and claws his way out. He's got no memory of what happened to him in h**l but he's got quite a few scars. One of the big mysteries / storylines for Season 4 will be what exactly did happen to him in h**l and how he got out - I think we'll learn that mainly through flashbacks as the series progresses.

While Dean has been dead for four months, poor Sam has been pretty depressed and he has found himself a girlfriend called Kristy. Bobby introduces him to Pamela Barnes - a psychic who will be a recurring character. She tries to locate the Yellow Eyed Demon's spirit in h**l for Sam and Bobby.

You can see some stills from 'Lazarus Rising' here:

Episode 2 is called 'Are you there God? It's me Dean Winchester' but apart from the title, no other details about that episode have been leaked yet.

Episode 3 is called 'Monster Movie' and apparently involves a killer with a penchant for 1930's horror movie monsters. I think it was filmed in black and white.

Episode 4 is called 'In the Beginning' and apparently it will be pretty explosive and reveal a lot of information. This is the 'time travel' episode where Sam and Dean go back in time and meet their parents before they got married and also their grandparents (Mary's parents).

Episode 5 is called 'Metamorphosis' - Sam and Dean meet up with another hunter who they know from about ten years before - I think his name is Travis - and they hunt a Ragaru (I think that's the correct spelling) - it's a guy who is slowly becoming a bloodthirsty monster as his father was.

    Episode 6 is called 'Phoebia'

There will also be an episode based on 'The Fly' where a guy freaks out when he realises he's turning into a fly-like creature.

There will also be a special Halloween episode - I think it'll be akin to the Christmas episode from season 3.

In terms of recurring characters Bobby and Ellen will return, so will Rufus, the hermit hunter from 'Time Is On My Side'. We will also meet Sam and Dean's grandfather who will be played by Mitch Pileggi from 'The X Files'.

I've read conflicting reports about whether or not Ruby will return. Katie Cassidy has definitely left the cast along with Lauren Cohan but there was talk of Ruby returning in a different body but it looks like that idea has been shelved now and Ruby won't return - but at least Sam still has her demon killing knife!!!

    Can't wait for 18 September!!! ; )
