Excuse me r****d, we WERE ATTACKED.  There was no imagination amongst Republicans here.  Was Iraq the smartest decision, not IMO and especially not after the fact that we found out WMD's simply didn't exist in Iraq.

BTW, a lot of Republicans wouldn't have been that supportive of the initial decision to invade Iraq (some of course would have but it wouldn't have been enough IMO) with-out the WMD angle and before you blame lay Republicans I seem to remember a GOOD number of Democrats who SHOULD have been in the know give Bush the green light (Clinton & Kerry ring a bell?). But hey, don't let the truth get in your way.
