Is this the amount I take home after this pay raise?

I currently get paid 14.28 an hour or $29812 a year. Come October 1st...I'll be getting paid 14.76 an hour or $30805 a year:

I'll be in the 28% tax bracket.

So that's a $993 difference, with $278.04 in taxes.

That's an $714.96 increase for the year or $59.58 a month. If I get paid bi-weekly, would that be an increase of $29.79 per pay check?

Did I do this right?

  1. You have too much information that makes no difference (your actual tax rate), and not enough that is required to answer (what is on your W-4).  There are several paycheck calculators available on-line.  Pick one and run the numbers.  Also note: if you are paid biweekly, divide the annual total by 26 pay periods.  Monthly numbers do NOT apply.
