  1. WW3 started when George Bush became president

It will end when we have a new Democratic President

  2. yup its the beggining...i cant wait till they make call of duty 6 modern warfare 2

  3. No. WWIII will never happen.

  4. yes, quite soon i reckon xx

  5. We are trying to keep our noses out of it. Notice we have not sent anything but humanitarian aide (although claims we might be sending arms in those planes too).

However, if NATO did get involved, this would very easily escalate into WW3.

  6. 50/50 in my opinion. the us is the only superpower left. we might just have to let it unfold.

  7. No. There will be no war between Russia and the USA. The Russians would be pulverized and they know it.

  8. Russia really did nothing wrong to begin with but then started bombing way within Georgian borders, far beyond the initial region. Georgia is like a mini USSR anyway. I can understand the US getting itchy about it but nothing will happen with this. Relations may drift a bit a few words will be said but thats it, both sides have a lot to lose in widening this conflict. The US from what I can make out can hardly afford another conflict, havent seen a country fighting on so many fronts since Hitler ordered the invasion of Russia!

  9. We are doing the right thing, for a change!

  10. The US should stop interfering in foreign countries and policies cause nothing good comes out of it . The US is trying to take over the world and it will result in a WWIII. Theres so much problems happening in the USA and I think the president should put more focus on the problems here instead of going around starting sh** with every other country.

  11. Russia and the USA have been fighting a proxy war for years now. Look at any two sets of warring factions anywhere in the world. One side will be US backed and be using US weapons and old American kit, (Israel for example) the other will be backed by Russia, not always publicly, this side will be funded by Ivan and using Russian made equipment and weapons Have you ever seen anyone fighting against a US backed nation using anything other than a Kalashnikov rifle? Me neither.

They have been at each others throats since the end of World war 2. The Cold war may have officially ended but you cant tell me the US and Russia have been happy bed fellows since then.

It wouldnt surprise me if the 2 heavyweights finally went toe-to-toe

  12. Russia has come in conflict with many of its former republics and Georgia is just the latest skirmish.  The West would like to foster independence of the former Soviet Republics while Russians prefer that these republics remain under their influence and loosely form federations similar to the structure of European Union.

Unfortunately as much as US and its allies would like to take a stronger stand on this matter, US is unable to do so. All US and European nations can do at this time is propose sanctions.  The last thing US wants to do is get tangled in another military operation while it is trying to get out of another.

I think many people are siding with Russia in this issue but people have to realize that Russian nationalism has been on the rise for some time. Putin almost has this mentality of Russia vs. the World (or US as he sees it).  US nor its allies can ignore this latest act by Moscow and they probably wish they were in a stronger position to act but any sanction that comes from this latest event will only serve to alien Russia from the rest of the world.

Things will only get worse unless there is a change in Russia's attitude toward its latest actions and from what we know of Putin, he will not back down.  He will probably escalate this matter to a level of "mini-Cold War"

A military conflict however is very unlikely as both sides are fully aware of consequences of a war between United States and Russia.

  13. You would think so, but it has been foretold that the UN is the next world power, not the communists. So...

  14. I saw that the Russian-Georgian conflict had come to a cease fire and would ultimately be resolved peacefully. I don't understand why anything would happen further. God Bless!

  15. For Kadoo Lover, I REALLY hope a Democrat gets in so all of you whiners will realize it doesn't make a bit of difference.

We are in the end times, and NEITHER party is going to get us out of what we have done to the world.

To answer the question, I think people try to do the best they can, but take God out of everything, and stand back and watch everything fall.

  16. I really hope not.

  17. I'm European.Well...I rather think that a new cold war will begin if things won't settle down, soon.

See,this is really very serious. Here, are not taking it very seriously but I am.After all we are talking about the great Russia.I really hope things will settle back to normality soon,or else it will get very far and dangerous. The USA should be very care full. It's not like the iraq war, ecc. This one is completely different.Russia is very military strong.

I agree, that USA should support Georgia's territorial integrity. The EU should as well. But we are facing the Russians so well we got to be extra care full! They should do as well!!

We better find a way to make another peace deal and in which they won't break it again!

    :)

  18. It's pretty close.

How many wars do we need to have in order to realize that we are fighting in this planet called Earth.

When countries start dropping the "better" or "worse" mentality that's when we can finally get some **** done.

If I ever become president the first thing I'll do is heavily invest in the space industry; for your sake, for you children's sake, for your children's grandchildren's sake, for mankind's sake, for all of life's sake.

    How's my speech?

    :)

  19. there will never be a WWIII.

WWII wasn't called WWII until after the war.

after the next world war, there won't be anyone around to care what it's called.

  20. No, it is not. But the USA is playing with fire.

Actually, if you do a little bit of research you will see that Georgia attacked South Ossetia and killed thousands of people. So, Georgia is the one started that thing in the first place. Russia is defending itself. Russia did not start anything first. Georgia started the whole thing first.

  21. World War does not just start with one conflict.  It is engrained in long term history with countries trying to negotiate, disagreement, and like marriage you just can't stand each other anymore.  All the actually miltary action is an aftermath---kindly like being at each other's throat because you just can't stand it and one must die, sort of thing.  I would say we are in the midst of WWIII already probably since Gulf War if not 9/11.

  22. We've been at war for 5 years now. Why would this latest -- unrelated -- conflict mean WWIII?

  23. Both world wars were largley due to appeasement of the bad guys.

Keep giving in to the despots of the world, and WWIII will happen.

  24. This is not the start of WW3 and the US is not going to do anything about Georgia except complain.

The US is stretched with it's losing war in Iraq and Afghanistan, The US will not help Georgia Militarily, Because then Russia will sell missiles to Iran, Europe won't help Georgia, because Russia will cut of the oil supply to Europe
