Is this the end of our civilization?

1) Poverty - poor people can't buy food and can't buy seeds to plant to grow food; hungry people become too weak to work.

2) War - war causes people to flee their homes and land; soldiers take or destroy food; crops get destroyed, fields get mined, and wells become contaminated.

3) Natural Disasters - earthquakes, floods, and droughts destroy or prevent agricultural production and dislocate people; epidemics of disease have similar effects and also cause weakness, poverty, and hunger.

4) Bad Governments - governments put resources into developing cities, building militaries, etc., rather than spending money to encourage farming, build roads, etc.

  1. No

Same old stuff just a different day.

Read what was going on 100 years ago even 1000 years ago same old stuff. The poor are hungry war and disasters make times hard and the rich run the government could not care.

  2. i have an acre of yard to grow food, do u live in an apartment in the cities?..sux to be you

  3. remember it can only get better

  4. No but it does equate to a rise in sales of antidepressants!  That my fellow yahoo answers person is called the way it is, and if you look a previous civilizations you will find that little has changed.

  5. This is the  civilisation progressing

    day by day.

Poverty: is due to peoples ignorance.

s*x is their only entertainment and they

produce more people. when they don't have

enough money to  feed themselves, they keep

    producing babies.

War: Due to progress in economy  in developed countries,

They have plenty of  scientific progress and man power.

Hence they compete with rival countries  to show their

    might.

Natural Disaster :ofcours, when people do not control their

population growth, nature has its own way to control population. (Malthusian theory of population)

Bad Govt.: Who  and what is Government? It is we who

choose them.  Its our corrupt representatives.  Either we

do not cast our vote or we caste our vote to wrong person.

Blame yourself  and your fellow people.

  6. you're a modern day sandwich board man "THE END IS NIGH"

  7. No its not the end of our civilisation - its exactly as it has always been. Look through history and there has never been a time when all of the above were not present. We have always fooled ourselves that things are better than they were - globally they are not. What has made the huge difference is the extreme gap between rich and poor. There have always been rich - they used to be the Royalty or the warlords or the nobility. Such people always lived off the back of the poor. The only difference is there are a lot more rich with vast amounts of wealth and correspondingly more desperately poor. For every person who lives a life above the breadline there will be someone living life below, for everyone who owns a car and holidays abroad there will be families who cannot afford to feed their children. it has always been the same but there are now an awful lot more consumers. In the mix comes war - there has never been a time of world peace and the more some have the more others will want to take it off them, the more people suffer the more some people will try to impose their solutions on them. It has always been this way.Don't even get me started on bad governments.

There do seem to be increases in natural disasters but there have been cataclysmic ones all through history. Volcanos and earthquakes have wiped out whole countries in the past. The only differences are cosmetic. Human beings are very bright but are really unevolved socially. Great technology, shame about the territorial squabbles.

  8. Not the end - but it makes me laugh; Britain is meant to be one of the richest countries on the planet and yet many of our people are almost starving. Let's bring back street corner soup kitchens to shame this Labour governement.

  9. Well we have a bit of a list, I'm glad someone else has noticed.  So let's see Food shortage is being engineered across the world by Monsanto, to push it's GM food.  War is being used by the Elite in a march toward their New World Order.  Seed, Monsanto again.  Disasters-Eathquakes, etc, see .'HAARP'.  Disease, mostly from Gov Labs.  Bad Governments, Elite take over for their New World Order.

About the best I can do, in this space.

  10. Sounds like another day in paradise.

  11. 'twas ever thus

  12. ave a cup of tea. we'll  sort it all out. dont worry. this is Britain. we got plenty of land water and know how to grow food. and as for stupid governments f@cking every thing up. well a politician 'by nature' is a thief and a liar. a preditor. in fact probably about!!  the lowest form of life on this planet and can be! over thrown.... get that into your head and you'l be OK!!

  13. No thats life

  14. What's your point?

  15. 1) Poverty - poor people can't buy food and can't buy seeds to plant to grow food, but, they can buy cigarettes and beer...go figure.  (oh, and a packet of seeds is less than a dollar to up to two dollars).

2)War - been happening for millennia, yes, people get displaced, but, humans adapt and rebuild...industry thrives and the poor in example 1 then have jobs and can buy food and seeds and more beer and cigarettes.

    3)Natural Disasters - see above.

4)Bad Government - again, see above.

  16. No, unless you consider it sounds like the start and middle of our civilization too.

  17. Who's civilized?

  18. Not for a few more years

  19. This is called human civilization. This not that happening in present. History also speaks the same poverty, war, disaster and bad rulers

  20. 1.  There has always been and probably always will be poor people.

    2.  War happens

    3.  I can't even come up with an answer to this one.

    4.  Let's see, if governments build cities, isn't that continuing "civilization"?

sorry, i don't get your point.

  21. no its nothing new and it's called life.

  22. No, this IS civilisation.

We may dream of a perfect world, but that is not human.

The world we have created is a perfect example of a human civilisation and that is how it will always be.

  23. What civilization?

    Look in the real world.

    At the young one.

    Were still primitive.

    In different time zone.

Without being aware of the blunders and slip-ups with human errors created back in the past with self lack of knowledge.

With them all moving backwards in time.

    Luke 8.5-8,10-17

How little horror chucky were are crying out there.

Being at loss and stranded in time.

Living in misery "Dying inside" with emptiness.

At loss with the missing link in the generation gap.

Without being aware of the mess created in own backyards with self lack of knowledge.

    Luke 9.25,55-56,60

In kicking them all on the butts for kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  24. That is Africa all over!!

  25. civilazation tears itself down and rebuilds all the time

  26. Your list bears a close resemblance to the situation at the start of our civilization.  It also resembles the situation in the middle of our civilization.  Nothing has changed.
