How far are you prepared to go to degrade and humiliate yourself for the sake of two points, possibly twelve.

What is the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

  1. I was brand new at a waitressing job, and only 16 to boot. So of course, I thought I was going to DIE when this happened.

Going about, waiting tables, I had to yawn. I opened my mouth wide, yawning, and I hiccuped at the the same time! It was the loudest, grossest, most god-awful noise I had ever made. It sounded like a belch times 10. I had never heard anyone do that, and didn't even realize it was possible. Of course everyone turned to look, and I didn't know if I should laugh or cry or run away. :) I turned three shades of red and made a beeline for the kitchen!

  2. Several years ago I was at a friends house watching a footbaall game with several other guys and their wives. They were showing the cheerleaders and there was one lady near them on the sidelines that was rather heavy and i said ,to one of the other guys watching too, "Hey Terry, yours is the fat one"  not thinking that Terrys wife was very heavy too. Well Terrys wife was standing in the doorway to the room and heard what I said. I had a very hard time talking my way out of that one.

  3. Well something is only embarrassing if you let it...it takes more to embarrass me now a days but when I as in 4th grade I had it bad for this guy named Andy. We were in band together and we were on our way down to the music room. He was at the bottom of the stairs and I was at the top..and I wasn't paying attention to my feet and I fell all the way down..he laughed....no good.

  4. It was a Friday night and I was travelling back home from work.  I had got myself  to the very front of the train, my favourite spot in the private compartment next door to the first class section.  Anyway, there’s a few people already in there and they are all busy reading newspapers and listening to music.  There’s some adults and a few  kids spread out but they shuffle round and I manage to get a seat.

Shortly after the journey gets underway, my guts start rumbling from the Mexican food I had at lunchtime, so I surreptitiously relieve the discomfort by breaking wind.  No problem, I got away with it, nice and silent but unfortunately as it wafts up it’s obviously going to be a hideous stinker.

I play it cool whilst the aroma permeates through to the other passengers and I pretend not to notice people glancing around for the source.  The silence is broken by an accusation between two of the other passengers, and it turns out they are all members of the same family.  They then conduct an inquest and by a process of elimination, correctly imply the culprit.

    _

  5. I asked someone when she was "due" she said she isn't she is just fat.... I felt terrible!

  6. Once I posed a question in a category TOTALLY unrelated to the subject matter of the question.
