question: (15/x) -4 = (6/x) + 3

multiply all terms by x= 15 - 4x = 6 + 3x

9/7 = x

check to get:

411/63 does not equal 31/63

  1. I got x = 9/7 as you did.

    Then I plugged in that value to check. For me it matched.

    15 × 7 ÷ 9 − 4 = 7⅔

    also

    6 × 7 ÷ 9 + 3 = 7⅔

    So as I calculated it, that is the right answer.
