  1. if the contact is in place...and you can see, I don't see what the problem is...I put mine in a slightly different way....and have never had an issue.

  2. Pretty much any way that works for you is okay, as long as it doesn't cause you pain or scratch your lenses.

You will find that every tech in the eye doctor's office has a different way of inserting lenses on the patient.

    The important things are

    1. Make sure your hands are clean

    2.  Make certain that the finger you are using to insert the contact is absolutely dry; the contact will always stick to the wettest surface it touches.  If your finger is wet, it will be harder to make it stick to your eye.

    3.  Hold your eye completely open when inserting lenses.  I hold my eyelashes on both top and bottom of my eye with my left hand (using forefinger on top and middle finger on the bottom lid).

I have to look directly into the mirror and place the lens on my pupil...once you get used to it you will be able to do this without flinching.  Of course, at first, something coming right at your eyeball will make you flinch...that's natural!  Just stick with it.  Once you get the lens in your eye, you may see a "bubble" in it.  Just blink once or twice and it will go away.  You shouldn't have to move your eyes all around unless the lens is not centered on your pupil....again, you will be able to see it once you get more accustomed to putting them in.

One thing I find helpful is using a magnifying mirror.  Since I'm half blind before I put in my lenses, it is helpful to have a mirrro to help me see a little closer!!  You can find them at any drug store or discount store (Walmart, Kmart, etc)...they are usually round and have little suction cups on the back of them so you can stick it right on your regular bathroom mirror.

    Good Luck!!
