Floyd Mayweather defeated the seven-foot, 441-pound Big Show. Who except the gullible want a watch fake wrestling and boxing ?

Ali was involved with the first wrestlemania. Since then many others including Mike Tyson and Buster Douglas have gotten a chance to make some extra money. I believe there were a few others. It has no negative effect on boxing. It's an easy way for a fighter to make some quick money!

Start of the end?  I think were are already pretty close to the end of the end for boxing.  MMA will surpass traditional boxing in terms of popularity and PPV buys within another 10 years.  

P.S. - Please leave wrestling out of this conversation.  It's entertainment, plain and simple.

i dont know exactly how much he got but im sure it was millions and millions of dollars

the only thing getting in the way of boxing is mma which is my sport and what i do but i still love just boxing cuz to be honest no one in mma can really box all that great, there are a handful but i still enjoy good ol' fashion boxing, its a different science and great to watch how different boxers deal with eachother

so although it isnt the most popular sport its still going to make money

Like both MMA and Boxing. Neither are going anywhere.

Both are quaility sports and people just by there nature like to see a fight.

Take it for what it is, entertainment, a show, nothing more.  It has no effect whatsoever on boxing.

It is certain that MMa will take over, but MMA still has a long way to go as the dominate combat sport.  It has no governing body which makes it confusing to new veiwers as does boxing so i think that the sport thaat get's it's act together first willl last the longest.
