Why do many equate what is "right" as to what they've grown up with and used to?Considering that one could have grown up in something completely opposite and they'll equate the same thing as it is right.

What makes a person think what is "right" is what the person has grown up with and what is "wrong" is anything different?

Is that the true way we should judge?

Since the very beginning (cave men) everything has changed And there is the chance that everything can change now in an equal and progressive manner.

Yet many would look things remain the same because many equate what is right to be the time line they've grown up in and what is wrong is anything new or different. If that is the case, then why not go back to the very beginning where things were completely different than the way things are now where it was normal and tradition to walk bear foot, live in caves, make fire out of woods, etc?

How do you as a conservative equate what is "right"?

How do you as a liberal equal what is "wrong"?

Please only intelligent answers...

  1. The terms right and left refer to sides of the issues, not right or wrong.  Conservatives are referred to as right wing, while liberals are called left wing.  The terms have nothing to do with right and wrong.

  2. There isn't much difference because the real conservatives are no longer represented in politics. The lunatic fringe of religion and fearmongering have taken over the right and branded themselves "conservatives".

  3. The real difference between liberals and conservatives, is that conservatives see everything in black and white....absolutes....."abortion is wrong"....g**s and lesbians are evil.....guns are good.....taxes are bad.....immigrants are criminals....poor people are just lazy, and so on......

I think liberals just realize that not everything is an absolute....

  4. Everything is changing in the universe.

There are many issues in this world so I can't give you an specific answer. I believe that nothing in this world is always 100% white or 100% black.

If you're talking about politics: I think that if something helps people instead of hurting them, it may be good. If something helps only some people or just the government, it's not good.

I consider myself catholic, centrist and I don't support parties.

  5. The basic difference beteween Republicans and Democrats now is pretty simple:

Repubs.- Big Goverment favorable towards Capitalism

Libs. - Big Government favorable towards Socialism

The Libertarian party is what the Republican party used to be....small Government and Personal Freedom! When is this country going to wake up!
