There were 2 Frenchmen, 2 Americans and an Irishman sentenced to death, the French were asked what method of execution would they prefer, they replied 'As we are French the Guillotine would be appropriate, they were duly executed, the Americans were asked and they replied 'The electric chair' as each one was taken to the chair and the power applied the fuses blew. the judge said it was an act of God and they were duly released. The Irishman was asked and he said' If youse don't mind sur, i'll take the guillotine, the chair seems to be always breaking down'
