  1. yes, but it is still a good one. congrats to team ethanol.

  2. yeah, and what about that c**p Danica pulled off without killing someone(again)....last time she just about took out the Delphi Safety Truck!!...

  3. yup

you said it all ... Wierd

  4. Definitely not the weirdest, but it's up there. Most racers wreck under green flag conditions, but today I guess it's opposite day. Danica looked pretty foolish until Dixon spun and took some heat off of her. Good thing noone got hurt.

  5. Ridiculous.  Not the weirdest though.   Im stoked TK is still in this thing.  All the cautions helped him big time.

  6. Yeah it was kinda crazy, but not as bad as that Nascar race last night....All of those wrecks today really helped TK get a great finish....Congrats to Hunter-Reay & team Rahal..

  7. That was probably one of the strangest things I've seen in any racing series. I mean, 3 good drivers and Milka crashed in seperate incidents under caution 0_o

    Way to go RHR!!!

  8. NO, I saw them hitting the pace car one year. that was freaking funny, it may have been the 1st year of the IRL but I can't remember.

  9. Me and my dad were just like "come on!!!!"  We just wanted the race to get back to green, but all those cautions kept happening!  Congrats to Ryan Hunter-Reay on his first win!

  10. I must say, as a big fan of IndyCars, this one does rank right up there with the strangest races I've seen, though I do think without the incidents, it was one of the more enjoyable road course races I've seen (and I'm not as big of fan of road/streed as I am of ovals).

I can think of a couple that were just as strange:  This year's Indy 500 (just in regards to *quantity* of caution flag laps), and one of the races at - I think - Pike's Peak, where there were like 15 caution flags.  Also, I remember a Champ Car race where there were est. 10-12 engine failures ... and it wasn't the minor engine failures, but the nuclear bomb, white-smoke, oil-pan-hanging-off-the-rear meltdowns at full song.

Anyway ... a strange, yet enjoyable race.  I think now the transition drivers have a TON of information they can take back to the shops in preparation for Mid-Ohio (road) and Edmonton (street/airport), which come up later this month.  I went to Mid-Ohio last year, and am kicking it around this year - it's a FANTASTIC place, and can be quite competitive.  If the road course races are like The Glen, then we could really be in for a shootout at the O.K. Corral for the championship.  Should be fun.

  11. that was pretty wierd, but then again it is watkins-glenn.

  12. I seem to remember a crash during the pace lap at the Indy 500. I don't know what year. That's what makes racing fun, the unexpected stuff like this,
