  1. It is a scam perpetuated by someone for whom English is not a first language (we call this a clue).  Do not respond.

  2. I would say that this is a scam. Be careful. If they ask for any money before giving the job, avoid it at all cost. :D

  3. scam.  They want your personel information for identity theft.  Contact your locat Attorney General office if you want to double check.

  4. A search on the UK company records shows over 600 companies registered at the postal code EC1V 4PY

So that's just a holding address, not a real office.

You wouldn't get a workpermit for the UK for a secretarial position - there is not a skills shortage in that field.

The street address given for the work permit is the Home Office (the government department that deals with immigration).   But the email address is not theirs.  A government email address would have a .gov.uk ending

And look...another Yahoo question popped up in the search on that postcode! http://ph.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...

    it's a scam.

  5. I would say that it is a scam just based on all of the English errors.

Never send your SSN or Bank Account information by email to someone you don't know!

  6. well Rochelle, did you apply to these people?  and who is work permits?

  7. sounds like a scam to me, work permit issued by Work Permits? don't you have to apply with the British government, i certain they would have a more governmental entity name, such Department of Labor, Employment Services for Foreign Workers, they list a supposedly physical address but ask you to e-mail it? and most of all no phone or person to contact . Don 't respond especially if you did not apply for the position, there are a lot of Nigerians in London that run all types of scams, i have been getting one that states they need an American to set an account to receive payments from their American customers and all i have to do is collect and deposit the payments after i take my 10% payment, then forward the rest to them in london.
