Is this to many fish for a 30 gallon salt water fish tank?

4 clown fish, 2 Lyertail Anthias, 1 Pygmy Angelfish and two seahorses!

  1. The general rule is one gallon per one inch of fish.


  2. No thats a pretty good number for a 30gal. actually.

  3. It all depends on how long the fish are. Remember 1 gal. for 1 inch, though I like a little room to spare.

  4. Marine fish - TOTALLY different stocking level from a freshwater tank. You need much more water per fish than you can get away with in freshwater.

    Also Seahorses are fairly difficult to keep alive, especially with other fish. They are difficult to feed (generally live food only) and wont get enough food if kept with other fish.
