My son is 7 and he separates his laundry and turns all his clothes inside out like there supposed to be when you wash, is that to young to have him taught?

My 4 year old can to, but i don't "Make" her like I do him. He does it with a good attitude though.

He also sweeps the kitchen, and wipes the table, and takes the dirty towels from the kid's bathroom to the basket, and brings me his dirty clothes when it's time for me to wash them.

Also, helps me with the trash to take it outside. Along with keeping his room clean.

  1. He is not being asked to do to much as long as he also has time to relax and play. Farm kids do much more

  2. can i borrow him for a week or two?  lol  im kidding, i tihnk its great as long as he doesnt feel forced to do it.i think that just makes kids miserable and they should be allowed to be kids as long as possible..otherwise, great job:)

  3. i feel like it teaches them responsibility that is a good thing.

i have a 10 year old who has to take the trash out, take car of his cats litter box and keep his room clean and he does it everyday with out asking.

I also have a 6 year old that feeds her cats everyday and has too keep her room clean.

so i dont believe what you ask of them is too much just think about every thing you have to do everyday and then ask yourself that again.

  4. Thats wonderful, good job.  Teaching your kids those skills at a young age will cause less headaches later.
