  1. It is YOUR wedding!  My husband and i had bright pink and black as our colors and all the guys wore black button up shirts, slacks, black tennis shoes and bright pink shoelaces and ties.  lol.    Now neither myself or my bridesmaids wore tennis shoes but hey, its YOUR wedding.  if people don't like it, they don't have to attend.  Do something that represents you and your hunny and you will remember forever!

  2. Sounds great!  I love Vans...I am having a pair of Converse custom made in my wedding colors since we have a distance to walk when we have our ceremony.  Also, I need to have comfy shoes so the nice ones will go on for the ceremony and pictures and then the Converse again!

    Congrats!

  3. I think that you should wear what ever you want. I think that those would be a good idea, and your feet won't be killing you. I got married on Sept. 13, 1997 so good luck.

  4. Sounds waaaaay more comfy than stilettos! If anything, the brides who make their maids prance around in 6 inch heals for the day are crazy.

If that's a style that suits you and your groom to be, then go for it! It a day just for the two of you, not the rest of the world and their opinions! Have fun!

  5. OMG!! That is so funny you say this because my fiance's nickname dubbed by his friends is spicoli, that's what everyone calls those shoes out here in C.A. My fiance bought me the baby pink and white pair. He wanted to wear his all black ones with his tux and have all the groomsmen wear them too. My bridesmaids and I will be wearing heals because tennis shoes hurt my feet. We are still discussing it since we are having a black-tie wedding in Beverly Hills but it is a nice personal touch ;) I think it's cute.

  6. It is your wedding, you should do it how you want it, and not based on others observations.

  7. September 13th is a great day. It's my birthday..!

The Van's theme is original and whatever it takes to enjoy your day with your mate should be of your and your fiancee's decision...If no one else likes it, let them stay home.

  8. its adorable,do it!

  9. could be very cute. make sure you get a pic of everyone's feet.

  10. If you can think about explaining the pictures to your grandchildren with a chuckle than go for it!!! Sounds pretty cute to me, esp if you have long dresses.

  11. If this is an expression of your personalities (and it sounds like it is) then I think it's really wonderful!

  12. make sure you have the Charlie Brown / " Peanuts " tune playing when you leave the alter

  13. I'm more traditional than that.  I'd hate it.

To be fair, I hate those shoes even as casual wear so I can't even begin to imagine them as part of a wedding look.

Good thing for you that I'm not the one making the decision.

  14. that's sooo cute!! i think that's totally awesome!! we had kind of a casual wedding.. my hubby and the groomsmen didn't wear tuxes, they all wore khaki pants and matching button up shirts. i'm glad to see that there is another 'cool' bride out there!!

  15. Sounds great to me, Of course my wedding party is all wearing sandals soooo...
