  1. Depends if your greeting is being sent by mail or by phone!

My brother lives in Kenya and I sent him a birthday card mid October via air mail for his birthday on November 8 and he didn't get it until the end of May!!  I don't know how reliable the mail would be going to India as I've never sent anything there.

I'd probably wait until the 15th and phone.......keep in mind the time difference and make sure it's the 15th where they live, not where you're phoning from.....you could be either a day ahead or behind them.

Here's an early Happy Independence Day wish from me!

  2. If you need to send it tomorrow, I doubt they would be upset getting it a little early. If you don't need to, maybe you should wait just a little bit so it arrives on the right day. But either way, a greeting is a nice gesture that they will probably appreciate.

  3. Yes it's too early, assuming it's being sent electronically.

It's too late if it's sent via snail mail - it takes about 9 days to reach there.

Also, I notice that all your questions end with either "Please be frank", "Please be honest", etc.  Why is that?  Do you think that will make a difference when people respond?/

  4. Absolutely. If your cousin gets it early, he'll put it on display and enjoy it for a longer period of time than if he gets it on the 15th. Think about getting a birthday card. It's nice to get it a few days early...but even a late one is welcomed.

  5. Yes.

Only the 15th is the 15th. Wait till the 15th.
