What do u think is an outrageous amount to be in debt of after graduating a four year university?

I plan to attend Depaul University in Chicago but financial aid only covers some of it so after graduation I would be in debt $26,365. Is that outrageous or normal? LOL

And do u think it would be hard to pay back later on?

  1. Thats less than I owe... then again I was in college for 7 years.

  2. That is not alot, i wouldnt worry.

  3. i owe 60,000 and i've only gone three years.

lol so you're not in as much bad shape as i am lol

  4. I would say that it's a bargain.

  5. It depends on the career you have and how long it takes you to get that job.  They wont charge you until 6 months after you graduate, and then you will make monthly payments.  So it really depends on the income you are making.  But ya, I think its a lot

  6. my friend just graduated from University of Michigan this past weekend, and she owes a great deal more than you. just make sure you can make your monthly payments and pay it off as soon as you can!!!

  7. I would say it is normal.  In fact, many people, like myself owe more.  However, looking back, I would say that it depends on your degree and future career options.  If you are likely to get a well paying job, the debt is worth it.

  8. That's how much i'm going to pay for a 2 year degree.

So to answer your question, i think it wouldn't be hard to pay back later on, as long as you get a good paying job with the degree you're getting.
