Is this too sappy for a father who is currently deployed?

Question

I made these two videos for my husband. I want him to have something to keep him close to our children. After making them though, I realized they may be a bit too sappy. I don't want him sitting there in tears. I'm nervous about sending them to him because I don't want to make him feel any worse than he already does.

They aren't great masterpieces, but let me know what you think. Send them or not?

Anything you send will keep him close to the kids...Keep the letters and videos going for him..I've been there and yes any thing you send will make him happy...

My husband and I agree...send them!  You did a nice job.  I think your true answer lies with what you know of your husband's reactions already.  Your videos were not heavy-handed in the "miss you, wish you were here" (just a quick note at the end, nice touch!)

nothing involving childrens home videos are too sappy for daddys. its cute i like it send them to him. every father likes a home vid.

My husband just came home from Iraq.  Send them.  Send him everything you can.  Too much is not in your vocabulary.  And the videos are perfect.  My suggestion is to keep making them with updated photos to keep him updated.  My husband loved the ones i made for him.  Everything you can do to let him know that you're still here for him and that his kids still know him is gonna help him make it through the day.  good luck and my prayers are with all of you.

Awwwww. I think some pics will make him laugh and some will make him tear up but I doubt any father would Ever regret seeing something like that about his kids. 100% send. He'll thank you for it.

PLEASE send them!!!  Who cares if they're a little "sappy" (I don't think they are), these are great memories to keep him going while over there.  Also, helps him brag about how gorgeous his babies are (and they ARE gorgeous).

I bet that even if he sheds a few tears, he'll also be smiling at the same time.  

btw, I loved how in the boy video, when the part saying something about monsters came up, the older one had on a monster costume.  Perfect timing on your part!

Send them, they will make him smile, sure he may get teary but that's okay! They will mean a lot, send them.

I don't know about Dad, but you certainly have me chokin' up...I can tell you right now, he will watch  these videos Everynight...they will keep his heart close to home and his mind in the right place...Definitely Send Them...Beautiful Children all 3 !~~Aloha and Blessings~~Michelle and Kids~~
